Our story starts many years ago with family. I wanted to give my two-year-old everything that she wanted, including a perfect cake. However, let's just say that it didn't turn out as planned. The chocolate cake with small Dalmatian figurines that I had been planning turned into a massive earthquake that sucked in the figures. In a hurry, I iced the cake while it was too hot, which, of course, melted and cracked the icing, while sliding the pups into the center. But, this did not stop me from trying to give my daughter the best birthday.
Year after year, adding new bundles of joy to the world (5 in total) gave me time to try over and over. Each child's birthday brought new ideas and challenges as I tried to make their day special and filled with love, starting in the kitchen. With all my kids grown up, this has turned into a love for baking and a passion for making other's days just as special as my children's birthdays.
Now a business here in Charles County, Maryland. I am licensed with the state and in the county plus insured as LLC cottage law bakery. We also have our certificate of completion for eFood Handler Safety Course through Maryland, plus 3 certificates of merits through Wilton cake classes.
I have recently signed up to be part of the Icing Smiles, as a Sugar Angel. They are a non-profit organization that provides custom cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.
